An accessible, multisensory journey communicating the impacts of climate change through 3D reproductions of marine species in both their healthy status and the impacted one under environmental stress.
Client
The aim of the project was to create an experience for traveling exhibitions with the aim to make climate change accessible.
ONOFF developed a tactile and acoustic installation designed involving multiple senses engaging people by producing 3D models of marine species in both their healthy and impacted states.
The design of the experience required the adoption of a multidisciplinary approach with interviews and ongoing exchanges with marine zoologists and the Unione Italiana dei Ciechi e degli Ipovedenti ETS-APS.
The installation has been developed for the UNESCO-IOC and the Prada Group SEA BEYOND project, and has been showcased at Prada Rong Zhai in Shanghai, SEA BEYOND Ocean Literacy Centre in Venice, and at 37th America's Cup in Barcelona.
