A detailed production of 3D scale models of the historic buildings of Mosul reconstructed as part of the UNESCO-led project
Within the framework of Mosul, an Architectural Rebirth, ONOFF played a key role by producing detailed 3D scale models of Mosul’s historic buildings reconstructed as part of the UNESCO project.
ONOFF made the reconstruction process accessible to a wide audience by transforming digital research and architectural documentation into physical objects.
The models, created for exhibition at the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana in Venice, allowed visitors to grasp the spatial, cultural, and symbolic value of Mosul’s heritage. Through accuracy, craftsmanship, and careful interpretation, ONOFF’s work supported the exhibition narrative, highlighting architecture as a tool for memory, resilience, and cultural renewal.
